QT-THIX Ultra-Thick Emulsion

Although we continue to think that the factory-controlled thickness and ease of use of
CDF®/QT Thick-Film make this the stencil system of choice for high density and other
applications requiring exceptionally thick stencils and ink deposits, we have released
QT-THIXdirect emulsion, specially formulated for the production of ultra-thick stencils on
coarse mesh using water-based or non-aggressive solvent inksor pastes. It is a ready-to-use, SBQ emulsion featuring:

High (52%) solids content for excellent build per coat, better mesh bridging on coarse screens, and lower Rz values for sharper printed edges
Very high viscosity (50,000 CPS) for easier control during coating; facilitates thick stencils
without face coats and intermediate dryings
Very fast exposure; polymerization is dependable, assuring durability and ink resistance
Water resistance; also resists most washup solvents, will not become tacky under high
humidity conditions, and has excellent wet strength
Red color for easy stencil inspection, even on dyed mesh
