Rank insignia
Chief bugles, captain and lieutenant bars, engineer and paramedic marks, digitized to your spec and placed by measurement, not by eye.
Bulwark Excel FR ComforTouch and Nomex IIIA dress shirts, trousers and jackets, with rank insignia, department name, badge numbers, name tapes and crests embroidered in-house at Precision Graphics since 1981. One digitized file set per department, one proof per rank, no minimum, so a single promotion and a 60-member department order run the same way. Dress shirts from $111.60; five garments are priced below.
Open Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Directions or call 480-967-7015.
Blank prices from our Bulwark catalog today. Open a garment for colors and sizes, then send the roster for a per-member price with insignia. Every garment below is available with embroidered rank, department name, badge number and name tape.

The Class A standard: long sleeve, pressed look, navy, light blue, grey, khaki. Tall sizes in SLU2T.

Women's cut of the same shirt so the whole department matches in one fabric and color.

For departments that specify Nomex. Navy, tan, royal, gulf blue. Tall sizes in SND2T.

Concealed snap front for a clean dress look; lighter 4.5 oz weight for Arizona summers.

Department name and rank embroidered on the chest; tall sizes in JET2T.
FR dress trousers in navy and black with optional piping, plus the rest of the Bulwark FR line (130-plus items) in the fire department catalog. Quoted with the shirts so the colors match.
Send these and you get a per-member price and one proof per rank back, usually within a business day. New to Bulwark? Ask for a sizing kit or a sizing day at the station.
A Class A uniform is only correct when every element sits where the department says it sits. We digitize each element once, log the placement, and sew every shirt the same way for years.
Chief bugles, captain and lieutenant bars, engineer and paramedic marks, digitized to your spec and placed by measurement, not by eye.
Department or district name, station number, division, in your font, size and thread color; arched or straight.
Individual numbers and names from the roster; sew-on tapes or direct embroidery, matched across the department.
Department shield or city seal digitized from vector art with the fine detail simplified so it reads at 3 inches.
Madeira polyester as standard, FR-rated thread for departments following NFPA 1975 to the letter; noted on the proof.
After the first order, your rank insignia, name layout, crest and placements are on file. A newly promoted captain gets a shirt that matches the chief's, ordered one at a time, with no new setup.
Pressed long-sleeve FR dress shirt, dress trousers, cap, badge, collar brass and full embroidered insignia. Promotions, swearing-in, funerals and memorials, council presentations, awards, parades, honor guard. This page.
FR shirt and pants worn on shift, with department name, rank and badge embroidered. Same insignia files as Class A so the two match. Bulwark Class B garments are in the fire department catalog.
Tees, polos and job shirts with department identification for training, maintenance and fitness. Screen printed or embroidered; see embroidered polos and Arizona screen printing.
Yellow Nomex wildland shirts and brush gear with crew identification, for districts and hand crews working Arizona's fire season. Quoted with the rest of the department program.
The same digitized crest and name layout runs across all four classes, so a member's dress shirt, station shirt and job shirt read as one uniform program.
Both are inherently flame resistant, so the protection does not wash out. The choice is usually about weight, hand and what the department already wears on shift.

Every Class A shirt on this page is embroidered here, on the multi-head machines at 1715 W 4th St. The video shows the digitized file running, the hooping that keeps a dress shirt placket flat, and the finished stitch. Rank insignia is small and exact, which is why it is digitized in-house and not bought as a generic file. More on the Precision Graphics YouTube channel.
Names, ranks, badge numbers and sizes, plus your insignia placement spec or a photo of a finished uniform. We flag anything that does not match the spec before quoting.
A sizing kit shipped to the station, or a sizing day at the station for Valley departments. Tall sizes are available on the dress shirts and jacket.
A mockup of each rank's shirt with every placement, thread color and measurement. The chief or quartermaster approves; nothing sews until then.
Bulwark blanks arrive in 2 to 5 business days; embroidery is typically finished 7 to 10 business days after approval. Ceremony dates are scheduled to.
Delivery or pickup in the Valley, shipping statewide. Promotions and new hires order one shirt at a time from the files on record.
City departments across the Phoenix metro: dress uniforms for promotions and ceremonies, matched to Class B station wear from the same files.
Districts outside the Valley order by email with the roster and a sizing kit, and we ship finished uniforms statewide. See Arizona custom embroidery.
The most exacting Class A spec: identical shirts, crests and placements across the detail, FR thread, pressed and bagged individually.
Class sets ordered from one roster with graduation-date scheduling; recruits reorder as they are hired.
Ambulance services, emergency management and public safety departments that follow the same uniform classes and FR specs.
Job shirts, duty tees, caps and work clothing for the same department, on the same proof. Hats: custom baseball hats.

"Arizona Precision Graphics did an excellent job with my custom order. My design was complicated and I had a strict deadline, but I received the items with time to spare. The staff was available to answer all my questions via phone and email."
"We used another company for our uniforms and swag before we found Precision Graphics but they were always making mistakes. We gave PG a shot at our business and they won us over. Their timelines are reasonable and they never say they can do something they will not follow through with."
"I found Precision Graphics and spoke to Julie. I immediately sensed the difference in her customer service. They took care of my order and completed it faster than promised. I highly recommend Precision Graphics if you are looking for branded products done right."
The formal dress uniform worn for promotions, swearing-in ceremonies, funerals and memorials, council presentations, awards and parades. It is typically a pressed long-sleeve dress shirt in department navy or black, dress trousers, dress cap, badge, collar brass and embroidered rank insignia and department name, with any unit citations. Most Arizona departments specify a flame-resistant fabric, Bulwark Excel FR ComforTouch or Nomex IIIA, so the dress uniform meets the same FR requirement as station wear.
The Bulwark Excel FR ComforTouch dress shirt (SLU2 men's, SLU3 women's) is $111.60 blank in our catalog today; Nomex IIIA dress shirts are $196.04 to $199.89, and the FR team jacket is $257.82. Insignia embroidery is quoted per placement: department name over the pocket, rank on the collar or sleeve, badge number, name tape and crest are each a placement, and the digitized files are kept so every reorder costs the same. Send the roster and a photo of the current uniform for an exact per-member price.
No. One shirt for a newly promoted captain is a normal order, because the embroidery files for your department are already digitized after the first order. Full-department orders are priced by tier and usually run with a sizing day at the station.
Embroidery thread is a small area and does not change the garment's fabric rating, but departments that follow NFPA 1975 to the letter specify FR thread for anything sewn onto the shirt. We stock FR-rated thread in standard uniform colors and use it on request; tell us in the quote and it is noted on the proof.
Excel FR ComforTouch (7 oz) is the most common Class A fabric: inherently flame resistant, holds a pressed look, lower cost, navy, black and khaki. Nomex IIIA (4.5 or 6 oz) is lighter, inherently FR at the fiber level, and carries higher arc and thermal ratings; departments that run Nomex station wear usually keep the dress uniform in Nomex too. Both are on this page with prices.
A roster with each member's name, rank, badge number and sizes; your insignia specs or a photo of a correctly finished current uniform; the department crest or city seal as vector art if you have it; and the date of the ceremony or deadline. We build one proof per rank showing every placement, you approve it, and production runs from the roster.
Blanks arrive from Bulwark in 2 to 5 business days and embroidery is typically finished 7 to 10 business days after proof approval. Individual promotions and replacements run faster because the files exist. Tell us the ceremony date; we schedule to it.
Yes. Valley departments and districts pick up or get delivery; departments elsewhere in Arizona order by email with the roster and proof and we ship, including sizing kits for try-on when a department is new to Bulwark. Finished uniforms also ship to departments outside Arizona.
1715 W 4th St, between Priest Dr and the Loop 202, ten minutes from Sky Harbor. Quartermasters are welcome to bring a finished uniform in to match; departments elsewhere run the order by email and we ship. BBB accredited, A+ rated, licensed Scouting America vendor, family-owned since 1981.
Roster, insignia spec and ceremony date. You get per-member pricing and one proof per rank back, usually within a business day.
