How to choose custom baseball pants for a team
Match the league rule first
Some leagues require white or gray pants, some require a specific length, and most require the whole team to match. Check the rulebook before choosing a color or a knicker cut.
Fabric weight
Standard game pants run about 12 to 14 oz polyester, which holds up to sliding and machine washing. Lighter pull-up pants at 8 to 10 oz are fine for rec leagues and save money on a large youth order.
Youth vs adult sizing
Youth runs XS to XL by age band; adult runs S to 3XL by waist. Most teams need both on one order, and every style above comes in a youth and adult version so the team still matches.
Inseam
Open-bottom pants are usually sold in one long inseam per size and hemmed or left long; short-length and knicker cuts are pre-finished. Alleson and Russell list inseams per size on the product page.
White vs gray
White is the traditional home color and shows dirt; gray is the road color and hides it. Teams that play on dirt infields all season often order gray for practice and white for games.

Customizing baseball pants: logos, numbers and piping
Pants take less decoration than jerseys, but a team logo on the hip or back pocket is what makes a uniform look like a program instead of a pickup game. All of it is done in-house.
Embroidered logo
Team mark on the left hip, back pocket or above the hem. Up to about 3 in wide; the most durable option through a season of sliding and washing.
Numbers
Player numbers on the hip or thigh, heat-applied DTF or vinyl, sized to the league's requirement. Supplied from the roster.
Piping and braid
Choose a piped or braided style in your team color rather than adding trim after the fact; it is cleaner and costs less. Alleson 605WLB comes in 17 color combinations.
Dye sublimation
For fully custom colors, gradients or patterned pants, sublimated pants are printed before they are sewn. Quoted per team; longer lead time.
Order pants with the rest of the uniform
Most teams order pants alongside jerseys, caps, belts and socks so everything arrives together and the colors match from one dye lot. We stock elastic baseball belts in youth and adult and can embroider caps to the same logo file.

Custom baseball pants questions
How much do custom baseball pants cost?
Blank pants in our catalog run from $8.85 for a youth pull-up pant to about $46.00 for premium open-bottom styles, with most team-grade pants between $20 and $37 before decoration. Embroidering a team logo or adding numbers is quoted per order, and volume pricing applies to team quantities. Send the style, roster sizes and logo through the quote form for a per-pair number.
Is there a minimum order for baseball pants?
No. A single pair for a player who outgrew last season's is a normal order, and it is matched to the team's existing style and number font. Team pricing starts at 12 pairs.
Can I mix youth and adult sizes on one team order?
Yes. Every style we stock from Russell, Alleson and Augusta comes in a youth and adult version of the same pant, so a team with 10-year-olds and a 6-foot coach can order once and still match.
What is the difference between knicker, short-length and open-bottom pants?
Knickers stop below the knee and are worn with tall socks or stirrups. Short-length pants stop above the ankle with an elastic cuff, the most common youth cut. Open-bottom pants are full length and worn over the shoe, the modern high school, college and pro look. All three are in the grid above.
Can you put our logo and numbers on the pants?
Yes. Team logos are embroidered on the hip, back pocket or above the hem, and player numbers are heat-applied from the roster. Both are done in-house in Tempe and shown on a proof before production.
Do you have white and gray baseball pants?
Yes. White is the home standard and gray the road standard across the Russell Diamond Series, Alleson 605 and Crush lines and the Augusta Gamer line, plus black, navy and other colors on many styles. Piped versions add a contrasting stripe in your team color.
How long does a team pant order take?
Blanks arrive from the distributor in 2 to 5 business days, and embroidery or numbering is typically finished 7 to 10 business days after proof approval. Tell us the first game date and we schedule backward from it; rush is available.
Can I try pants on before we order?
Yes. Sizing sets are available in our Tempe showroom at 1715 W 4th St, Monday to Friday 8 to 5, so a team can size everyone in one visit before the order is placed.
