Get a same-day bulk print quote

Send these five things and we quote the run, recommend the cheapest blank that will hold your art, and send a mockup. Weekday requests before 2 PM usually get a number the same day.

  1. Your artwork in any format. Vector (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) prints cleanest; a PNG or JPG is fine to start.
  2. Quantity, even a range. 100 to 150 is enough to price the tiers.
  3. Garment: tee, hoodie, hat, tank, or "cheapest that looks good."
  4. Print locations: front, back, sleeve, and rough size.
  5. In-hands date so we can schedule backward and tell you if rush applies.

Why a local shop is the cheap option for mass production

The online print sites you found above this page are marketplaces. Most do not own a press; they route your job to a contract printer, add a margin, and ship it back to you. Here is what removing those layers does to the price.

No broker markup

Every shirt is printed at 1715 W 4th St on our own presses. The price you get is the printer's price, not a reseller's price on top of it.

Real quantity breaks

Screen printing cost is mostly setup: screens, ink mixing, press registration. Once the press is set, each additional shirt costs a fraction of the first dozen. Per-piece pricing drops at 24, 48, 72, 144, 288 and 500.

Local pickup, no freight

Shipping is the hidden cost on online bulk orders; 500 hoodies is several heavy boxes. Pick up in Tempe, or have large Valley orders delivered.

Art prep included

Color separations, halftones and sizing are done in-house by our art department as part of the job, not billed as a separate design fee.

Wholesale blanks

We buy tees, hoodies and caps at distributor pricing from Gildan, Port Authority, Sport-Tek, Richardson and others, and the blank is usually the largest share of a bulk price.

One setup for reorders

Screens and separations are kept on file. Reorders skip setup, which makes the second run cheaper than the first.

Bulk printing tiers: what changes as the run gets bigger

Use this to see where your order lands before you ask for a quote. Piece counts are the standard breaks; the price per shirt drops at each one.

Printing your artwork in bulk: what to know before you send it

Ink colors are the biggest lever

Screen printing charges per color per location because each color is its own screen. A one-color print on a dark tee is the cheapest thing we make in quantity; a six-color front is six setups. If your art has gradients or photos, we simulate them with halftones or move the job to DTF.

Print sizes and locations

Standard full front or full back is up to about 12 x 14 in; left chest is 3 to 4 in; sleeves about 3 in wide. Each added location is another pass through the press, so front-only runs are the cheapest.

File formats

Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) separate cleanly and print sharp at any size. High-resolution PNG at print size (300 dpi) works for DTF and for simple screen print art. Low-resolution logos get redrawn by our art department.

Garment color changes the price

Dark garments need a white underbase for the ink to show, which is one extra screen. Printing dark ink on light shirts is the cheapest combination for large runs.

Mixed sizes, one price

Sizes S through XL are usually the same price; 2XL and up cost more at the blank level. Youth sizes can run on the same screens.

Reference point from the catalog: a Port Authority rope cap with full-color DTF art starts at $12.35 as a single piece and drops at 12 and 24. Bulk tee and hoodie pricing depends on the blank, ink colors and locations; the quote form returns a per-piece number by tier.

How a mass production order runs

  1. Quote

Send art, quantity, garment, locations and date. You get per-piece pricing by tier and a blank recommendation, usually the same day.

  2. Art prep and proof

We separate colors, size the print and send a mockup on the actual garment color. Nothing prints until you approve it.

  3. Blanks ordered

Garments come in from the distributor at wholesale, usually within 2 to 3 business days for stock colors.

  4. Press run in Tempe

Screens burned, press registered, run printed and cured in-house. Large runs get scheduled press days around your date.

  5. Pickup, delivery or shipping

Pick up at the shop, have large Valley orders delivered, or ship anywhere in the U.S. Screens stay on file for reorders.

Bulk print shop questions

What is the cheapest way to print my artwork on a lot of shirts?

Screen printing at a local shop, with one or two ink colors, on a light-colored cotton or blend tee, picked up in person. Each of those choices removes a cost: screen printing spreads setup across the run, fewer colors means fewer screens, light garments skip the white underbase, and pickup skips freight. Precision Graphics prints on its own presses in Tempe, so there is no broker margin on top.

Is there a minimum order for bulk screen printing?

Screen printing is priced for 12 pieces and up and becomes the cheapest method at about 48 pieces. Under 12, DTF transfers are usually the better value. There is no maximum; runs of several thousand are scheduled as press days around your date.

How much does it cost per shirt for 100, 250 or 500 shirts?

It depends on the blank, ink colors and print locations, which is why we quote each run rather than publish a flat rate. Per-piece pricing drops at 24, 48, 72, 144, 288 and 500 pieces. Send your art, quantity and garment through the quote form and you get per-piece pricing by tier, usually the same business day.

How many colors can you print?

Up to six spot colors per location with screen printing. Photos, gradients and more than six colors are printed with DTF transfers instead, which have no color limit and are still economical into the low hundreds.

How long does a 500-shirt order take?

Typically two to three weeks from proof approval and blank arrival, scheduled as dedicated press days. Rush runs are possible for most quantities; tell us the in-hands date when you request the quote and we confirm before you commit.

Can I supply my own blank shirts?

Often, yes. Bring a sample by the shop so we can confirm the fabric takes ink well and the sizes are consistent. Customer-supplied garments are printed at your risk, since we cannot replace a misprint on a shirt we did not source. For most bulk runs our wholesale blank pricing is lower than retail anyway.

Do you offer local pickup or delivery?

Yes. Pick up at 1715 W 4th St in Tempe, near Priest Dr and the Loop 202, Monday to Friday 8 to 5. Larger orders can be delivered across the Phoenix Valley, and we ship anywhere in the U.S.

Will my reorder cost the same as the first run?

Usually less. Screens, separations and garment specs are kept on file, so a reorder skips setup. Pricing still follows the quantity tiers, so a 100-piece reorder is priced at the 72 to 143 tier.

Ready to print your art in bulk?

Local presses, wholesale blanks, no broker markup, and a real person on the phone in Tempe. Send the art and quantity; we take it from there.
